PROGRAM OPPORTUNITIES
What do Girl Scouts do? Almost anything a girl would like to do! The Girl Scout movement is girl-driven, reflecting the ever-changing needs and interests of participating girls. It provides girls grades K-12 with a wide variety of opportunities and activities available in Girl Scout handbooks, award books, the Go Girls Only and STUDIO 2B websites, and other program resources. Girl Scouts programming encourages skill-building and responsibility, and also promotes the development of strong leadership and decision-making skills. All program activities are age-appropriate and based on the Girl Scout Promise and Law and four fundamental goals that encourage girls to:
Girls may register for programs with their troop or individually. For many of the Destinations Programs, girls do not need to come with an adult. Safety-Wise girl/adult ratios are for all programs unless stated in the description. Please do not register more adults than needed to maintain the required girl/adult ratio as it reduces the number of girls who can be accommodated. They are:
Adults accompanying girls are expected to actively supervise the girls.
