Silver Bay is an informal camping resort nestled along the shores of Lake George. And it’s just for young women. This well-designed Victorian home contains all the modern amenities of home. Whether it’s reading a book on a lazy afternoon or sunning along the beach shores, Silver Bay offers a wide array of activities designed around your active lifestyle, including swimming, boating, archery, rock wall climbing, outdoor adventuring, tennis, basketball, cooking and crafts. So, you want to be the next American Idol? Come to Open Mike Night and enjoy your 15 minutes of fame. Or, maybe you'll enjoy relaxing from archery or tennis. Come and experience a night of pampering and spa treatments. Or, possibly, it'll be the all night chatting, movies and pizza galore that makes your stay memorable.
Whatever your pleasure at Silver Bay, it's not camp - it's camp revamped!
The Silver Bay YMCA of the Adirondacks facility is owned and operated by the YMCA. It is located on nearly 700 acres of land on the western shore of Lake George, just two miles past Sabbath Day Point. Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York use the Silver Bay facilities to run three one week-long summer programs for girls entering 7th-12th grades.
