Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Girl Scout movement. They give selflessly of their time and talents to help build girls of courage, confidence and character. Whether volunteers work directly or indirectly with girls, the service they give leaves a lasting impression on Girl Scouts and other adult volunteers. They deserve to be recognized for their dedication and service.

We value all of our volunteers and recognize the contribution they make in developing girl leaders. Everyone appreciates a special thank you for her/his volunteer efforts.  We recognize that there are individuals who provide service to Girl Scouting that is "above and beyond" the expectations of their volunteer position.  GSUSA awards are intended for volunteers such as these that provide exemplary service that goes "above and beyond."
