How do I get my daughter into a troop?
You can call a GSNENY Service Center or attend a recruitment event at your area school. You will be contacted by a volunteer, called a Troop Organizer, who will work to place her in an existing troop that has space available or in a new troop once volunteer leaders can be recruited.
Does my daughter need a uniform to be a Girl Scout?
Girl Scouts of the USA is a uniformed organization, but wearing the uniform is a personal choice. It is not required that any member wear a uniform. Members are encouraged to wear the Girl Scout pin and many girls like to have a sash or vest to display their insignia. For more information about uniforms click here.
