Imagine if we could change the world!
As a Girl Scout, one of the many great activities you can participate in is the Girl Scout Cookie Program! Besides having fun, you´ll learn new skills like money management, goal setting and teamwork. You´ll also learn how to plan, make decisions and provide good customer service. Plus, what your troop earns during the sale will give you the opportunity to go on field trips to new places or can help you make a difference in the community through a service project. You can also earn fun awards!
Fun Cookie Facts
Here are a few things we bet you didn´t know about our cookies!
- Little Brownie Bakers makes its own caramel for Samoas. It is cooked the old fashioned way-in copper kettles at 230 degrees.
- Do Si Dos and Tagalongs take 145,000 pounds of peanut butter per week.
- Peanut butter creme is deposited onto Do Si Dos at the rate of 2,500 per minute.
- After exiting the oven, Thin Mints travel 360 feet on the conveyor belt before being coated in chocolate.
- Trefoils are shaped by a rotary die. There are 100 identical trefoil shapes engraved in one rotary die. The die rotates 17 times a minute, equaling 1,700 cookies a minute.
